Job advert: lecturer/associate professor in social + theoretical philosophy at Leeds

17 Oct 2025 12:24 PM | Thomas Brouwer (Administrator)

The University of Leeds is hiring a Lecturer or Associate Professor in Philosophy. The post is open to those with expertise in (1) social philosophy and (2) at least one area of theoretical philosophy (metaphysics; epistemology; philosophy of language, logic, mind, action), within any philosophical approach or tradition. Any combination of these specialisms will be considered. You may have equal levels of research specialism in both, or one may be more dominant than the other; the two areas may reflect two aspects of your work (e.g. an area of theoretical philosophy engaged through a social or political approach) or represent different non-intersecting areas of interest.

Application deadline is the 5th of November.
