Social Ontology 2021

August 9–21, 2021, University of California, San Diego

Online Conference

Social Ontology 2021 to be held online

Dear colleagues,

Normally the the social ontology and collective intentionality conferences would be held in person. The plan had been to invite all attendees to San Diego. But uncertainty regarding the pandemic makes this impossible. As a result, the organizer of Social Ontology 2021 and the executive and steering committees of ISOS, have agreed that the conference will be held exclusively online

The basic format will be as follows. Special symposia and keynote speakers will conduct their presentations and their Q&A sessions live. Those whose abstracted are accepted will pre-record and upload their presentations. All such presentations will be made available to all conference registrants; they can be viewed at any time. There will then be slated times in which the presenters conduct a live and interactive 'Q&A', via Zoom, with other registrants. There will also be online forums in which registrants can, at their leisure, type comments in online threads appended to each pre-recorded presentations.

Best regards,

Saba Bazargan-Forward, organizer, Social Ontology 2021
