Attending the live meetings

Even if you are not a presenting author, you can participate in the live meetings (i.e. keynote talks, symposia, and Q&A sessions).

Access to the live meetings requires an active ISOS membership.

To join a meeting:

  1. On so2021.isosonline.org, go to the page of the talk/keynote/symposium you are interested in.
  2. Click the "Log In" button
  3. When prompted, enter your ISOS member credentials. (If you forgot your password, you can request a new one.)
  4. Once logged in, you will see a button "Go to the live event" that will bring you to the Zoom meeting.

Meeting Etiquette

  • Turn off your microphone while others speak.

  • When asking your question, turn on your webcam if possible.
  • If you have internet problems, try turning off your video.
  • Before asking your question, introduce yourself (name, affiliation).

If you are the speaker at a live Q&A session:
  • Be sure to double-check when you Q&A session is scheduled. You can check the full programme here.
  • Access the session 5 minutes before the scheduled time (and wait for the host to begin the meeting), so we can greet you and make sure everything is set up correctly.
  • You will be informed about your chair by the host. Most of the meetings will be chaired by the host. Unfortunately, some won’t: in this case, members of the audience will be asked at the beginning of the session if somebody would like to volunteer to act as chair. We kindly request your assistance here.

  • Q&A sessions last 20 minutes. In exceptional circumstances, the meeting can extend for extra 5 minutes. However, kindly note that meetings automatically end after 25 minutes.
